What Participants Walk Away With
These are the outcomes that participants most frequently describe in their post-programme reflections.
Clearer thinking
A more organised way of approaching the questions that feel overwhelming when faced alone.
Peer connection
Access to a group of peers navigating the same life stage, often forming connections that extend beyond the programme.
Better conversations at home
Tools and frameworks for discussing retirement with partners, adult children, and close family.
Grounded knowledge
An informed perspective on the most common themes in pre-retirement — drawn from credible sources, not opinions.
A personal framework
A working structure — unique to you — for how you want to approach the coming decade.
Time to think
A structured occasion to step back from daily demands and give serious attention to longer-term questions.

Five Things That Set Our Approach Apart
Facilitators Who Know the Subject
The people who lead Stillmoor sessions have backgrounds in adult education, not financial sales. They are skilled at holding open conversations rather than directing participants toward a conclusion. This distinction shapes the entire experience — you are not being managed toward a product.
- Facilitators with adult learning qualifications
- Ongoing professional development
- No commission-based incentives
Materials Built for Slow Reading
Stillmoor workbooks and reading packs are designed for adults who want to read carefully and return to things. They are printed, not digital, because we have found that participants engage more deeply when they can write in margins and put things down and come back. The design is informed by research on how adults in mid-life process complex information.
- Printed workbooks with writing space
- Curated essays from published sources
- Designed for re-reading over time
Participant Support That Continues
Some of what surfaces in a pre-retirement programme takes weeks to process. Stillmoor's follow-up structures — the reflection call included with the introductory programme, the newsletter included with the Reading Group, and the six-month review available to Cohort participants — mean that the programme does not simply end when the final session closes.
- Follow-up reflection calls
- Quarterly newsletter for Reading Group participants
- Six-month optional review for Cohort
Transparent Pricing, No Add-Ons
The fee shown for each programme is the full cost. There are no additional charges for materials, follow-up sessions, or access to reading resources included in the programme. Stillmoor does not operate an upsell model. Our three programmes are distinct; you choose the one that suits your circumstances and timeline.
- All-inclusive programme fees (RM 670 / RM 1,290 / RM 2,890)
- No hidden charges or add-on products
- Clear cancellation terms before enrolment
What Participants Tell Us Changes
Post-programme feedback collected since 2019 shows consistent themes: participants feel more prepared to have important conversations, less anxious about the unknowns ahead, and more connected to others navigating the same territory. These are the outcomes we design toward — not any specific financial decision, but a greater sense of composure and readiness.
- Structured feedback collected after every programme
- Curriculum updated based on participant input
- Outcomes focused on readiness, not specific decisions
How We Compare
Stillmoor vs. Typical Pre-Retirement Providers
Most pre-retirement education in Malaysia sits either inside financial product sales or inside large, impersonal seminar formats. Stillmoor sits in neither category.
| Feature | Typical Providers | Stillmoor |
|---|---|---|
| Group size | 30–100+ participants | 6–12 participants |
| Product affiliation | Often linked to financial products | Fully independent |
| Format | Lecture-style, one direction | Facilitated group conversation |
| Materials | Branded marketing handouts | Curated reading from published sources |
| Post-programme support | Sales follow-up | Reflection calls, newsletters, review |
| Malaysian context | Generic or imported frameworks | EPF, local cost-of-living, household norms |
What Only We Offer
Distinctive Features
The Cloth-Bound Workbook
Cohort participants receive a workbook bound in cloth — designed to sit on a bedside table and be returned to. It is a considered object, not a disposable handout.
Peer Cohort Connections
We intentionally form cohorts of participants at similar life stages. Peer networks formed through Stillmoor have outlasted the programmes themselves in several cases.
Partner Conversation Frameworks
We are the only Malaysian pre-retirement provider with structured tools specifically designed for couples to use together, at home, outside of the session environment.
Quarterly Reading Newsletter
Reading Group participants receive a quarterly newsletter with newly published material on pre-retirement themes — keeping the conversation alive after the programme ends.
